Okay, decided to try something new last night for dinner that would be quick and easy.
I needed to throw together some dinner fast. I had some canned chicken and some boxed mac & cheese...
I figured the kids like my tuna casserole and they like mac & cheese, so why not combine it somehow.
Here are the ingrediants:
Well, I started with cooking the mac & cheese noodles as directed. While the noodles were cooking I took 1 can of Costco brand Kirkland chicken breast, drained it and broke it apart in a casserole dish. I then added 1 can of Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. I added a can of drained sliced mushrooms(optional). I then added the cheese sauce from the boxed mac & cheese. I added onion salt, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. I added the drained noodles when the were done. I then added about 1/4 cup of fat free milk. I also added a can of drained peas (optional). I combined all the ingredients then topped the casserole with Kraft american cheese slices.
I cooked it in the oven covered at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
THIS WAS A HIT! I even liked it!
You can substitute tuna for the chicken but we really liked the chicken.
